Homework

At Larkfields Infant School we encourage parents/carers to play a full part in their children’s education and this includes helping children when they bring work home. Homework can help consolidate learning and can assist in the development of important work habits, such as personal organisation and self discipline.

The following section shows you the kinds of homework that parents/carers can expect their children to receive from us so that they may fully support the work of the school.

Foundation Stage Two

Children bring reading books home daily to share with you. About ten minutes is an ideal amount of time to spend on this activity.
Sometimes your child may bring sounds or words to practise.
Children are encouraged to visit local libraries with you.
