  • Reception - The National Tramway Museum

Our children had a fantastic day visiting the National Tramway Museum at Crich, where they enjoyed a unique hands-on learning experience exploring the history of heritage transport.

As the UK's only open-air museum dedicated to the history of trams, the museum combines fascinating historical collections with a working tramway. The children had the opportunity to discover how trams have evolved over the years, learn about their importance in Britain's transport heritage, and even ride beautifully restored vintage trams through the picturesque museum village.

The visit brought history to life, allowing the children to step back in time while developing their understanding of transport, engineering, and local heritage. It was a memorable day filled with learning, exploration, and lots of smiles!
