• A Letter from the Chair of Governors

  Dear Parents                                                                                                       

  As the Chair of Governors it gives me the greatest pleasure to announce that, after a very successful interview Mrs N Irwin, our acting Head Teacher, was offered and accepted the role on a permanent basis.  This appointment being endorsed by East Midlands Education Trust.

  I am sure you will agree that Mrs Irwin has met many challenges positively over the last year and steered Larkfields Infant School professionally through the unprecedented time of COVID, which has been particularly difficult for everyone.

  It was evident at interview, and throughout her time as Acting Head, that Mrs Irwin has a great vision and passion for Larkfields Infant School. She remains thoroughly dedicated to building on the already strong foundations. The children are always at the centre of school priorities, deserving the best, despite any barriers they may face.

  We are confident that those priorities will enable all the children to leave Larkfields with the necessary skills with which to attain a bright future.

  The strong partnership between parents and Larkfields remains vital, the governors would like to thank you for your continued support. Together we can enable Larkfields to continue to go from strength to strength and be a school that we are proud to be a part of.
