  • Our Completed Library

    We are delighted with the results of our library restyling. It has also been given a big thumbs up from the children.

  • New Books

    Thank you to everyone who purchased a book from the scholastic book fair in the summer. We were given £200 of free books which arrived yesterday. We will be adding these books into all the classes story time books.

  • Firefighter Visit

    Our Year 2 children have been learning all about the Great Fire of London. They have been studying the changes through history of the Uk's fire service and enjoyed a hands on session with the Fire fighters from Stockhill.

  • UK Parliament Assembly

    The children learnt all about our parliament and democracy in a brilliant assembly lead by the UK parliament team.  This was to help support the children's understanding of the school council, which all children in school will vote for in the coming days. 

  • Matlock Farm Park Visit

    The Robin and Puffin classes went on their first school trip to Matlock Farm Park. They enjoyed learning about the different animals and had great fun on the play equipment, including the large bouncy pillow. 

  • Year 2 Visit to Cadbury World

    The Year 2's had a great time visiting Cadbury World. There topic this term has been on Chocolate and so it was fantastic for the children to see in action not just the history and manufacturing process of chocolate, but also the product design. 

  • Year 1 visit to St. Patricks Church

    The Year 1 children have been learning about places of worship. They visited our local Church Of England Church and learnt all about the history of the building. 

  • Our Week

    The children across school have been working hard on extended pieces of writing. The Year 2 children have written non chronological reports about fantasy woodland creatures. The reception children have written lots of care instructions for the bean plants they have grown. 

     

    Our Year 1 children have been working in teams to compose pieces of music.

  • Mr Wilson's Visit

    Fri 26 May 2023

    Mr Wilson came to talk to the year 2 children about his role as a ranger. The were really interested in his bear bell. This was used to scare bears when he hiked in Canada. 

  • 2023 Sports Day

    Thu 25 May 2023

    The weather was perfect and the children worked hard in their teams, congratulations to Team 20 who won overall.
